2/1 - Venus enters Aquarius

So the cosmic news this week is that Venus is entering Aquarius which is GREAT because Mercury just went retrograde in Aquarius and I think this will add some much needed balance to the potential chaos of a Mercury retrograde. We as always can expect to be reviewing some themes, this time relating to justice and technology. I am hearing about this already! What, oh what, has happened since the energy shift in late December to Aquarius because some of that will come up again.

Those awesome Aquarius themes beam in the light of the Venus glow and her closeness to Jupiter will make life much more festive, loving, beautiful and prosperous. Also, we all know Valentine's Day is an Aquarius experience, and it's bound to be a super romantic one with a Mercury, Jupiter conjunction (more on that one later).

Like Ri-ri say's "B*tch better have my money, give me what you owe me!" In other words, it's time for the cosmos to serve what you have earned; be that, money, love, rest, diamonds, or ramen. Whatever it is, you are bound to have it served up in this Mercury retrograde. Mercury is rifling through your immediate past and its set on winning justice. With Venus here adding love and bounty to the party along with Jupiter, I really think it won't be so bad, but watch out for big tech issues...servers down, long wait times, glitches beyond your control. If you are doing your taxes before Feb 20, check them several times before hitting the submit button. All and all, it sounds like a much better week than the last!

There is still a bit of strained energy left over from last week but in general the tension should have eased and should continue to ebb. This week, Neptune, in its home sign Pisces, squares the North node in Gemini. We are going to be aligning the vision of our future with our current direction. There will be chatter (Mercury) about next steps and this is a GREAT time to take a look at that especially since Mercury is going retrograde at the end of the week bringing everything up for review and testing its durability. Patience...patience.

Much like the collective, you might find yourself questioning your own path. Have you gained enough wisdom to set course for what comes next? Is your new found confidence built on sand or concrete? For most of us, the answers will become very clear with the upcoming Mercury in retrograde. Mercury will spend it's time digging in your history and testing the changes you've made for stability and endurance. Will you slip into comfortable habits or employ the lessons you've learned. Confidence...confidence. Remember this can also include gadgets and dohickies and plenty so break out the warranties. Don't worry! This is always for the better good! First I want to acknowledge the great Martin Luther King Jr., especially in a period of time where his and the work of so many others are coming under astrological review. Saturn was in Aquarius during pivotal milestones in the civil rights era from 1962 - 1964. Dr. King delivered his "I have a dream speech" during this period. The 60s ushered in a period of social reform that is relevant to this very day. The power of the people, the POWER of AQUARIUS.

Consider this week cloudy with a chance of BS. This is a hard one, because my head is too clouded with news to be objective and my desire is to always be positive. So here's the scoop. The heavens has presented the potential to be a blow out of a week. The theme's are the same, tradition and progress, humanity and oneness. Basically, it's complicated. There are two things happening at once; outdated philosophies coughing out its last breaths and emerging waves of new human accountability still growing and finding its legs. Add Uranus the planet of surprise and rebellion and its anyone's guess what could transpire.

Your patience, your stamina, your values may be tested but if you don't listen to a single thing I say, hear this...Whatever you do this week is likely to be blown up. So, consider it like this..if you make a step, it will be perceived as a stomp, if you take a breath it will sound like a heavy sigh, if you throw a rock, it will be a brick....adversely, if you blow a kiss, it will feel like a blanket of love.

So think about what you want to put out into the world this week because it will be bigger than you intend. If ever there was a period to hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil it is this one. Surround yourself with good music, good vibes and lots of positivity this week. Next week, Mercury goes retrograde so we want to be in peak headspace!

Collective Overview

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Congratulations, if you are reading this you survived 2020 and that in and of itself is something to celebrate. So....anything been happening while we were away? Just kidding! Well 2021 is off to an interesting start in the US. This is that moment where I should restrain myself from saying I told you so, but well... To reiterate and summarize: So many energies are in Aquarius which in part is about community, friends and HUMANITY so working against this energy is at your own risk. Like, I can't believe I have to say this but...overthrowing the government is ill advised and it does not serve the greater good. Now, go and check your definitions of "greater good" and write a 3 page essay.

Right now and for the last time for a while, we have pile up of energy in traditional Capricorn. This is outdated structure destroying energy (especially with Pluto in Cappy until 2024). We have been dealing with this for over 3 years so nothing new. The Sun, Venus and Mercury are testing the sore spot left by exposing our societal wounds. Difference is, now Aquarius is cleaning out the sepsis of injustice, group supremacy and inequality. Let it be.

I want to say this is over, everything in me wants that, and it can be, nothing is written in stone, but we have an inauguration coming up with some really interesting energies happening including a Mars/Uranus conjunction. Expect some surprise happening. Right now, I see the day as being a mixed bag of turmoil with destiny. Hope with despair. I hope that in spite of the energies it will be an inspiring, wonderful day. We shall see. For now though, hold on...we are edging closer to a new normal and 2021 will bring it, I promise. It won't always be sunshine but it will be better and it will be rebuilt.

You might find yourself receiving an apology or contrition, heck, you might be providing it for someone else. Uranus goes direct in Taurus a sign it's sharing with our good friend Mars. You might find yourself wanting to shake up the status quo including the parts of your life that have atrophied in 2020. That could be a relationship, a goal, travel or really anything. Remember that Uranus loves a plot twist so don't get too attached to one route to your dreams. With Mars sharing a heavenly home with Uranus until Mar 3, you will feel like a fire has been lit under you. This is no time to dream per se, it's time to do.

LOOK UP IN THE SKY: See a rare-ish triple conjunction between Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury. It will look like a triangle and it best seen at dawn or dusk. Jan 10 and 11 are the last days to catch it.
